Dog Breeds

While selecting a purebred dog can give you a general idea of its appearance and temperament, it’s important to remember that there are no guarantees.

Even dogs that are the same breed can have major differences in their behaviors and how they react to things like their environment.

In fact, I had two labrador retrievers growing up, one named Jake who was super lazy and a big couch potato. My other dog Jack was super active and needed multiple hours of exercise a day! Both were pure-breed American Labrador Retivers, one was super active while the other was super lazy!

Believe it or not, many of the dogs traits are made by factors such as their early socialization and handling, training by their owners, and of course there genetics. At the end of the day, your dog’s personality and preferences are unique, regardless of their breed. Embracing this reality will allow you to enjoy a lifelong companionship with your furry friend.
